“From deep within the soul we create our own nightmares and fears. Our psyche takes our memories and distorts them into the things we dread to consider. Our own mind takes on journeys of darkness and foreboding. Is it our imagination playing tricks on us, or is it the manifestation of the ghosts of our past and present? Are the things that haunt us real?”
And so, for me and a handful of amazing musicians, begins a musical journey that will culminate in a new album. I wanted to create something that will touch on the fear that we create for ourselves, except that I can never fully understand the fears that any of you bear. What I can do, though, is bare my soul, and share the things that haunt me. This album will be the soundtrack of my nightmares.
So this little snippet is a mere taster of what is to come. It’s the spark of an idea that I’ve shared with other musicians and creators and that has generated enough enthusiasm amongst us to commit to writing, recording, producing and releasing an album from our little international musician collective.
