Over the last couple of days I’ve had a great time creating a score for a “Trailer” along with adding some sound effects. The Trailer footage and was provided by Sonokinetic, along with a special of their Ibrido Cinematica “lite” edition.

From this minute I started watching this clip, I had in mind a tribal drums theme underpinning the effects and textures supplied by Sonokinetic’s library. This, being the first time I’ve composed a percussion led piece, was a bit of a risk, and a tad nerve-wracking, but I’m really pleased with the result.

In the clip below, you can get the full feel for the music and video combined.

If just audio is more your bag, then this, along with some of my other pieces of music can be found on my Soundcloud page.

I had a great time pulling this together. It’s not often you get to work on the soundtrack and sound effects in the same project, but being given a video with zero audio and invited to fill it all in as you see fit, is a really fun project to get your musical teeth into.

If you enjoyed this or any of my other music, throw me a like, a comment or even a share. All feedback and interactions are hugely appreciated.

This recording was made using Steinberg Cubase 7, Sonikinetic’s Ibrido Cinematica “lite” edition. Spitfire Audio’s LABS and Spitfire Audio’s Orchestral Percussion.
